Not exactly. Wasserface® is a patented technology that improves a regular shower head by adding another mode: facial and breast hydromassage. Thus, a new shower head is created on the basis of the existing one.

Wasserface® is a universal technology that may be used to make a hydromassage shower head of any form and design. This allows the manufacturer to expand the product range, produce new shower heads and upgrade existing ones without any restrictions.

We performed three-dimensional scanning of 122 people and created 3D models of their heads. Men and women of different ages and with different anthropometric data participated in the study. We also used a study performed by the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health NIOSH Dataset RD-10130-2020-0, which was carried out to develop well-fitting gas masks.

On each 3D model, we have marked the areas that should be massaged with water jets from the shower head. This gave us a map of universal massage areas suitable for all types of faces.

Improper facial massage can stretch the skin and cause it to deform and sag. Even the manufacturers of sanitary ware do not recommend massaging face with an ordinary shower head, because it doesn't allow you to symmetrically move from the face center to the periphery. In addition, this process is unpleasant because the water gets into the mouth, nose and eyes and can result in microtrauma of mucous membranes.

For a safe and comfortable massage, you need to move along Langer's lines and massage the entire face simultaneously. Currently, there is no shower head that can do this.

Langer's lines are directions in which the skin is stretched minimally. They exist all over the body and on the face. Langer's lines coincide with the natural folds of the skin and are perpendicular to the muscle fibers.

One should massage their face, as well as apply creams or remove makeup, only along Langer's lines. Then the massage will be adequate to the anatomy of the muscles and lymphatic vessels of the face.

Hydromassage activates blood and lymph flow, eliminates edemata, relieves tension and restores muscle tone, cleanses the skin of keratinized cells, activates metabolic processes. The skin becomes moisturized, enriched with oxygen, and its immunity is boosted.

Using the shower head with Wasserface® mode is an intuitive procedure. The user should direct Wasserface® shower head to face so that the water jets come from the bottom up. The shower head should be located on the chin level. You can hold the shower head steady or move it towards your face until a comfortable distance is reached. The layout and inclination of the nozzles are designed in such a way that water jets massage cheeks and forehead along the lines with the minimum skin stretching, without getting into the eyes, nose and mouth.

The duration of hydromassage is not limited.

In Wasserface® mode, shower head nozzles are arranged so that water jets are divided into four groups. They create structured water streams directed to four facial areas at a certain angle with a comfortable force and an even impact.

The nozzle diameter ensures effective hydromassage when water jets do not injure skin or cause discomfort.

No, this is an ordinary daily shower head. The only difference is that it provides one more shower head mode: Wasserface® facial and breast hydromassage. Usual shower head modes (rain, massage, etc.) are intact. Thus, a new shower head may have any number of modes: 2, 3, 4, 5 or more.

Wasserface® operates at water pressure of 3 bar and higher. A comfortable head of water is selected manually using a tap. If water pressure in the water supply system exceeds 7 bar, the shower head adjusts and reduces it to a safe and comfortable level.
